Accepting these terms

By using Bovels or creating an account you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

Your account

• You must be at least 13, and 18 to read or publish content rated for adults.
• You're responsible for your account and everything posted from it. Keep your password safe and don't share it.
• Don't impersonate anyone or create accounts to get around a ban or restriction.

What you write is yours

You keep the rights to your novels, chapters, posts and comments. By publishing on Bovels you grant us a free, non-exclusive permission to store, display and deliver them to readers within the platform, and to show excerpts (such as title, cover and description) when someone shares a link to them. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account. We recommend keeping a copy of your writing outside the platform.

Publishing rules

• Follow the content rules published in the app (Settings → Content rules).
• Rate your work correctly: anything with adult scenes is rated 18+. Wrong ratings can get a work hidden.
• Don't publish what you don't have the rights to: plagiarism and posting others' work without permission are prohibited.
• Strictly prohibited: any sexual content involving minors, incitement to violence or hatred, harassment and threats, illegal content, and spam or repeated advertising.

Moderation

Anyone can report content or an account, and we review reports. We may hide violating content, issue a strike, or restrict or suspend an account, depending on how serious and repeated the violation is. You can see your strikes and their reasons in Settings → My strikes, and appeal them there. You can block any user so they can't message you.

Supporting authors

“Support the author” opens a link or number the author provides, and money goes directly between you. Bovels is not a party to that support, doesn't guarantee it and isn't responsible for it.

The service as is

We work to keep Bovels available and safe, but we provide it “as is”, without a guarantee that it will be free of faults or interruptions. We may change or discontinue features. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses from using or being unable to use the service, including loss of content.

Ending your account

You can delete your account any time from Settings. We may suspend or close an account for serious or repeated violations of these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll announce it in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Bovels afterwards means you accept them.
